BAE-SEMINAR ANNOUNCEMENT MAY2009 UNDERTAKING MULTI SCALE NL MODELLING ON MINE SITES
Now new technology is emerging. Multi-scale Non-Linear (MS NL) modelling tools have evolved that represent the next stage in mine modelling. The advantages are more physics, better representation of geology and structure, fewer assumptions and potential for direct ground proofing. The disadvantage has been that it is harder to undertake at the mine site. BAE believes that the new technology is now at a stage where it is hard to justify the simpler alternatives for analysing some very common problems, but if mines are going to gain maximum benefit, mine sites need to be leading the application. INTEGRATING MULTI SCALE NL MODELLING ON MINE SITES
On the 13th of May 2009, in Cairns to coincide with the timing of the next EAGCG meeting, BAE will hold a seminar where we will discuss progress towards mine site based 3D MS NL modelling. Topics will include:
The cost of attendance at the seminars will be free to all who wish to attend, but the places will be limited. If you would like to attend, have a special request for a topic or would like more information, please call +61 412 135 782, or reply to ctucker@beckarndt.com.au. DETAILS

A short time ago, all modelling was undertaken by consultants. History has shown that the change to mostly mine site based modelling was genuine progress.
