UNDERTAKING MULTI SCALE NL MODELLING ON MINE SITES
A short time ago, all modelling was undertaken by consultants. History has shown that the change to mostly mine site based modelling was genuine progress.
Now new technology is emerging. Multi-scale Non-Linear (MS NL) modelling tools have evolved that represent the next stage in mine modelling.

RECENT SEMINARS
Beck Arndt Engineering and Coffey Mining will hold a one and a half day seminar on Mine Stability and Field Measurements in NW Tasmania on the 2nd and 3rd of June. The seminar will draw on the content of Masters courses in rock mechanics that BAE has conducted over recent years, so will cover both theory and applications.

RECENT SEMINARS
- "Examples for Numerical Modelling of Seismogenic Development During Cave Initiation, Propagation and Breakthrough", WASM, May 2007, Kalgoorlie, WA
- FREE SEMINAR "Forecasting Mine Stability", 5 March 2007, Perth, WA
Mine Stability is a rock mechanics concept that is becoming an
engineering specialty in its own right. Beck Arndt Engineering
will hold a one day seminar on mine stability in Perth on Monday,
5 March 2007. (Download brochure). The seminar will include a number of case studies involving
back analysis and direct simulation of mine scale deformation.
There will be a strong focus on mine scale, non linear numerical
modelling and practical mining engineering.
